Kells Bow

Hickory-backed Hickory, This bow was inspired by illustrations from the Book of Kells. Though its origin remains shrouded in mystery, it is believed the book was created in the late 8th to early 9th century. Its name comes from The Abby of Kells in Ireland, which was its home for much of the medieval period. Our Kells bow features colorful zoomorphic knotwork painted over natural hickory, sealed with a satin finish.
